Project Goals (proposal text)

  1. develop a suite of software tools and communications infrastructure to provide a standards based, fully interoperable, and easily managed information community solution
  2. extension of the DiGIR protocol to support secure data access, globally unique record identifiers, digitally signed records, and the ability to write data back to source databases.
  3. development of an automated GEOLocate based georeferencing solution that demonstrates the utility of the data write extension along with a spatially oriented web portal to facilitate and promote community interaction
