Project Goals (proposal text)
- develop a suite of software tools and communications infrastructure to provide a standards based, fully interoperable, and easily managed information community solution
- extension of the DiGIR protocol to support secure data access, globally unique record identifiers, digitally signed records, and the ability to write data back to source databases.
- development of an automated GEOLocate based georeferencing solution that demonstrates the utility of the data write extension along with a spatially oriented web portal to facilitate and promote community interaction
